Obituary of Robert Dean Jones

Robert Dean Jones, born on September 18, 1955, to parents Joel and Beatrice Jones in Sacramento, CA. passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2023 with his wife Sandra by his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Known to his family and friends most often as Bob, Bobby, and grand bob to his grandchildren.

Bobby, a daredevil in his youth, kept his love of adventure into his adult life and became an avid mountain bike rider and trail steward. Bob loved helping people through his HVAC business and worked until just last year when he retired to enjoy the great outdoors, working on his Jeep and drinking coffee full-time.

Bob was an honest, caring and happy man who always considered life a blessing. He is survived by his wife, mother, daughters, son in-law and his 8 grandkids who will honor his legacy by living life to its fullest.

there once was a boy on a bike with a smile and a wink

he was very happy and wanted to share his heart

so, he went for a ride to a place he’d never been before

she caught his eye in passing and he slowed down to take a closer look

I wonder, he thought inside his head, then reached out his hand to her

she wondered too, then took his hand and they began to walk together

he made her laugh, she made him think, it was a good way to be

a place was forming deep inside a juanderland it seemed….

they made a plan to meet and see what a dream could look like

she ran a race, he followed her, dirty face and all

his silly socks and dancing eyes had a playful sensibility

a cat in a hat, or a rabbit it seems, was running hither and yon

she liked the flow, she let him know, he smiled knowingly

juan speed day was cold and wet but the warmth from within was divine

a common love together born with just a little touch of porn … (bike)

a map was read upon a bed and travel plans were made

she said I do, he said it too, to be in love forever more from near or faraway

their hearts then began to intertwine into each other’s until they became juan
