Obituary of John Klopp

John Joseph Klopp, age 88, passed away on December 9, 2008. He was a 27 year resident of Paradise. John was born in Cleveland, OH to Frank Stanley Klopp and Juliann Klopp. He was a US Army veteran during WWII from February 1942 to October of 1945 and served under General George S. Patton in the 5th Armored Division, 34th Tank Battalion. John retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft Co. in Southern California as a tool and dye maker. He loved working on anything with his hands. He was also a 27 year member of the Calvary Chapel of Paradise. John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan Mary Klopp; sister, Josephine Kehr of San Diego, CA; daughters, Barbara Michels of Magalia and Ruthann Jahoda of Auburn; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held on December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Chapel of Paradise. John's final resting place will be the Glen Oaks Cemetery in Chico.
