Obituary of Barbara Worman

Charlene (Shawn) Worman was one of six children born to John and Anna Wilson on April 3, 1928 in Vanderbuilt, PA. Shawn went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2008 at the age of 80. She married Wayne Worman on June 14, 1952 at the Trinity Methodist Church in Chico. She participated in volunteer work at the Discovery Shop, Lighthouse Missuion, Hocks Unlimited (Melodrama), and The Oroville Republican Women's Association. Shawn was a loving and caring woman. She sought to brighten the spirits and lighten the burdens of everyone she met. She was an active member of the Foothill Community Church where her friendly greeting and gracious smile was her expression of love for others. She is survived by husband, Wayne; children, Ann (John) Walters, Ken (Judy) Worman, Janet (Mike) Carr, Tom Worman, Diane (Fred) Holland; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sister, Janet Piern. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Foothill Community Church in Oroville. Services will be Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Foothill Community Church
