Obituary of Alek Sur-LaVerne

"Some people only dream of angels; we held one in our arms." Our little angel Alek Christopher Sur-LaVerne was born on May 23, 2008 to his adoring mother, Karyn LaVerne. Although it was not his destiny to remain with us, he has left his tiny footprint on the hearts and lives of everyone who waited to welcome him into the world. Alek will lovingly be remembered by his parents Karyn LaVerne and Gorsha (George) Sur, his grandmothers Chris LaVerne and Yelena Sur, his uncles, Tim, Bryan and Oleg, as well as so many others who were blessed by his brief life on earth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enloe Hospital's Mother and Baby Center in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
