Obituary of Myrtle McIntire

Myrtle McIntire passed away February 21, 2009 in Chico CA, at the age of 80. She was born December 14, 1928, to Edward and Evelyn Newton in Laguna Beach, CA. Myrtle married Norman (Mac) McIntire on January 25, 1947, who preceded her in death. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was centered around her family. Having come from a family of eight, she dearly loved her family reunions. Myrtle also enjoyed annual celebrations with family and friends. She was in her glory when all her boys and families were at home. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and was well known for her neighbor visiting which her family called "Myrt-ing". Myrtle is survived by her five sons, Greg (Cheri) McIntire, Tim (Marci) McIntire, Dan (Karen) McIntire, Chris (Cindy) McIntire and Brad (Paulla) McIntire; along with 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home, will be held at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2869 Cohasset Road in Chico on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Aldersgate UMC.
