Obituary of Rubye Dye

Rubye Jewel Dye was an inspirational human being who was born March 16, 1921 in Dumbar, Oklahoma. She was married for 58 years to the love of her life, Oral "Pete" Dye. Rubye was a sweet and thoughtful lady, who put others before herself. Rubye was an extraordinarily hard worker that was employed by K-Mart, retiring in 1983. She was baptized in the Church of Christ in 1949. She was a happy woman who smiled a lot and liked to tell stories about her childhood. Her grandchildren loved to listen to her stories on how things were in her era. Rubye was a wonderful mother, sister, grandma, and great-grandma, who had 7 grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren, which she loved and treasured dearly. Rubye passed away before finishing her book "The Story of her life". She leaves behind her only living sister, Claudia Van Ert; daughter, Kathy Tinsman; son-in-law, Larry Tinsman; and son, Ronnie Dye. Rubye was loved by many and will truly be missed. A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Brusie Funeral Home.
