Obituary of Nancy Granados-Mejia

Nancy Granados Mejía, a precious gift loaned from heaven was born on July 9, 2001 in Chico, CA and departed October 1, 2021. Today, heartbroken, her family and friends let her go back home.  Her parents Norberto Granados and María Granados-Mejía, her brother and best friend, Norberto Jr. Granados and her faithful puppy and companion, "Choco” remain here, missing her, cherishing her memories, until the day they all meet again in the house of the Lord.

Nancy was a shy but determined young woman, everything that she proposed, she achieved, her determination to conquer her dreams and even her shyness, was admirable. Her nobility was worth seeing, if she felt that she had offended you even unintentionally, she would call to say: "I am sorry.” This young girl with so many dreams, always had the time to help her dad in whatever way she could. She was his right and left arm, a noble and hardworking daughter, who called her mother every day when at work when she had a "brake" to have a little conversation with her. Those details so tender and ordinary, made Nancy a unique and special young woman.

Her brother was her whole life, her best friend. They were like two children complicit, in mischief, true siblings at heart.  Nancy dreamed of becoming a big star; she planned to one day move to Los Angeles and succeed as a singer.  If she had had more time, she would have possibly achieved it, because she achieved what she set out to do.  Nancy, you will always live in the hearts that you touched, with your simplicity and childlike candor.

A viewing and Rosary will be held on Sunday, October 10th from 5-8pm at Brusie Funeral Home, Chico, CA.  Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 11th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Chico, CA.
