Obituary of Charles Walter Hanson

A Celebration of the life of Charles Hanson 87 of Chico will be held on Saturday, May 7,2022 at 11a.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Charles passed away on April 10,2022 in Chico. Charles was born on July 25,1934 in Oakland, Ca. to Bryden Hanson and Marion Wickes. He graduated in 1957 from U.C. Berkeley Studying Electrical Engineering. In 1983 he married his wife Yuko. Charles was employed at Ford Aerospace, later known as Space System/Loral. Charles enjoyed hiking, backpacking, fishing, swimming , model trains, cryptograms as well as woodwork and traveling, Astronomy sailing and gliding. He volunteered for Paradise Meals on Wheels for 20 years. Charles is survived by his wife Yuko ,Daughter Cythia (Stephen) of Durham, Daughter Ellise (Edwin) of Chico, Son Charles (Tami) of San Jose, Ca. and son Jeffrey of Durham. 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter. 4 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters.
