Obituary of Kai-Hui Kelsey Liou

Kai-Hui Kelsey Liou born in Chico, California on January 18th, 1996 entered into rest in Chico, California on June 10th, 2022.

Kai-Hui “Kelsey” Liou was born on January 18th, 1996 in Chico, CA to Chiene Liou and Lane Kitikoun. She was the younger sister of Katy Liou and the older sister of Kelly Liou.

As the middle child of the family, Kelsey was outspoken and outgoing with a free-spirited aura. Wherever she went she brought light, fun, and happiness by making people laugh and smile. She had a strong-willed personality, and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

With her imaginative and kind hearted nature, being a preschool teacher was Kelsey’s dream. When she began at Enchanted Play Infant and Preschool Center, she was a natural. Better known to the children as “Ms. Kelsey”, she was cherished and loved by both her colleagues and students alike. Kelsey’s creative ability and artistic talents were not only shown through her role as a teacher but also in her hobbies which included drawing, cross-stitching, and designing nail art, which meant her nails always looked perfect.

Outside of dedicating her time as a preschool teacher, Kelsey was an extremely loving girlfriend who enjoyed spending time traveling, eating out, relaxing, playing video games, and cooking with her boyfriend, Andrew. Their favorite dish to make together was chips and guacamole. Kelsey and Andrew were fortunate enough to share many happy moments together, and both had made plans to live their lives together forever. To him, she softened all of his rough edges and was a ray of sunshine in his life.

The memories Kelsey left behind will be treasured by all who have had the pleasure of knowing and being a part of her 26 years of life. Kelsey will always remain as a bright light in our hearts, and she will always be remembered for her compassion, her unrelenting love, and herquest to always bring out the best in everyone around her. She was a beloved daughter, sister, girlfriend, niece, cousin, teacher, and friend.

We will miss you dearly and love you forever and always, until we meet again.
