Obituary of Sylvia Warren

Sylvia Warren passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, with her two sons by her side. Sylvia was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 17, 1926. She was raised and attended school, in Redford, Missouri.

Sylvia met her husband, Jesse Willard Warren, while herding the family cattle to water. The two were married on November 10, 1943, in Ellington, Missouri. In the late 40’s Sylvia and Willard moved to California where they raised their family in Glenn County and later moving to Butte County.

Sylvia is survived by her sons, Glenn Warren of Willows, and Ken Warren of Chico; along with 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Sylvia was predeceased by her sons, Wesley and Jourl “Butch”; husband, Willard; parents, Levi and Cordie McMullin, step-dad, Joe Russell; sisters, Vergie, Lucille, Maretta; and bother, Wilbur.

Viewing will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Church services will follow at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church starting at 1:00 p.m. and burial to follow at the Chico Cemetery.
