Obituary of Victoria H. Martinez

Victoria H. Martinez (Vicky), 93, of Chico, CA, was born to eternal life. Joining her late husband Michael (Mike) Martinez in heaven on November 21, 2022.

Vicky was born in Buda, Texas, she was the daughter of Regino and Julia Hernandez both agricultural workers on March 6, 1929.

Vicky was a woman of faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.

She worked at Continental Nut for 15 plus years, and went into becoming an agricultural worker like her parents, she was a healthcare provider at a point in her life as well as a Sunday school teacher where she became even stronger with her faith. She enjoyed attending church, sewing, crocheting, baking and she was known for making the best flour tortillas!

Vicky is preceded in death by her parents Regino and Julia, her husband Michael Martinez, her son Ruben Carrasco, her step sons Michael Jr and Joseph Martinez, her siblings Annie, Lala, Santos, Gino, Angel and David, as well as her great granddaughter Alisha Payne.

Vicky is survived by her sons Moses, Abel, Nep, her one and only daughter Delilah all of Chico, CA. Her step son Jesse of San Diego, CA. She is the proud grandma of Carlos, Jessica, Richard, Jerry, Stacey, Nona, Andrew, Nacole, Timothy and Victoria. She has 25 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. Her brother Greg, her daughter-n-law Lolita and many nephews and nieces.

Memorials or flowers may be given to Brusie Funeral Home prior to December 2, 2022, or brought to the burial site.
