Obituary of Bobbie Jo Carr

Bobbie J Carr passed away 12/19/2022 after a long illness at Enloe Hospital. She was 78. Graveside service will be held Thursday December 29 at 11am Chico Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband Ralph.

Bobbie, born Bobbie Jo Brown to Floyd and Frances Brown, was born in Gravette, AR in 1944. Her family moved to California shortly thereafter and settled in Durham, CA. She graduated from Durham High in 1962, and married her high school sweetheart Ralph Carr. In 1968 they moved to Chico where they lived ever since. Ralph passed away from cancer at the age of 65 in 2009.

Bobbie worked at Chico Unified School District for a number of years until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter Marci and her husband Mike, their kids Karissa, MacKenzie, and Stephanie; her son Bradley and his wife Melanie and their kids Brandon, Jameson, Adam, Colin, Maddi and Cassie; and brother Jack Brown and his wife Linda.

She enjoyed water skiing, camping, games, traveling, and spending time with her many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
