Obituary of Shirley Jane Bisset

Shirley (known to many as Jane) was born in Joliet, Illinois on October 25,1928. Her family moved to Centerville in Butte County in 1934. Her family moved to Chico in 1941. She attended the one room school at Centerville for 7 years, then graduated Thermolito Elementary School 1941 and from Chico High School 1946. She married Harry Bisset and had 3 children; Robert, Claudia Smith, and Lorraine Maynard. She also has 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Shirley worked for Pacific Telephone, Sacramento Medical Blood Bank in Chico, and finally after receiving her AA degree in accounting from Butte College, she worked for Kangaroo Kourts for 20 years. She has been a member of First Christian Church in Chico since 1948, and made many lifelong friends there.

Shirley is predeceased by her parents, George and Bernadine Albert , her two brothers and son Robert Bisset.

A memorial service for Shirley will be Saturday September 2, 2023, 11:00 am at First Christian Church 295 E. Washington Ave. Chico Ca.

In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to First Christian Church of Chico.
