Obituary of Jo Ann Clare Glass

Jo Ann “Jo” Glass, 70, passed away after a short illness September 9, 2023. Jo was born in Oakland, California and has made her home with her family in Chico since 1976.

Family meant everything to Jo. She loved being around her children, so much that she volunteered and eventually worked for Chico Unified School District until she retired in 2015.

Jo had a huge heart and showed it by always caring, supporting, and loving all her friends and family. She also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, gardening, and birdwatching. She particularly enjoying the cheerful hummingbirds in her garden had even started making her own bird houses.

Over the years, Jo adopted numerous animals and her current pets, Bootsie, Rambo, and Coconut (Coco) already miss her very much.

Jo is survived by her partner, Marvin Parks, three children, daughters Rebecca (Timothy) Lysyczyn of Algonquin, IL, Heather (Justin) Tevebaugh of San Antonio, TX, son Robin Forrest of Chico, and helped raise her nieces Dawn Marie, Lee Ann, and foster daughter Jeanette. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Lauth, the father of her daughters, Robert Glass, son-in-law Darrell Martin, grandchildren Drew, Sierra, Zachery, Justin, and Cameron, great grandson, Liam, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucy Jimenez, and her oldest sister, Jan Martin.
