Obituary of Frank Zebley

Franklin H. “Trip” Zebley, age 77, died peacefully at home on September 9, 2023. He was born December 15, 1945, in Upland, California, the son of Franklin Herbert Zebley II and Alta Patricia Zebley Bowen.

Frank was a graduate of Upland High School, class of 1963. Following high school, he served with distinction in the United States Navy in Japan and Vietnam as a hospital corpsman. After his military service, he attended Chaffey Community College and California State University Chico, where he received his BA degree in Sociology. Frank was a loyal member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1555, and served as member of The Chico Tree Advocates and the Chico Heritage Association. For 45 years he was the proud local business owner and property manager of Zebley and Associates Property Management. A man of faith, Frank attended Trinity Methodist Church. He was a model of the Christian values of honesty, hard work, kindness, and love.

Frank enjoyed the great outdoors including camping, fishing, building model trains, and attending antique car shows where he displayed his prized 1952 Hudson Hornet. The two greatest truths about Frank Zebley were how proud he was of all his family members and how much he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Rebecca (Swanson) Zebley; daughter, Krislyn Zebley Miller and her husband Christopher; son Richard Zebley; daughter Tanika Holman and her husband Darren; son Robert Zebley; son Darrell Zebley and his wife Andrea; grandson Jacob Foster; grandson Dallas Holman; granddaughter Athena Holman; brother David Zebley and his wife Melissa; sister Melanie Bowyer and her husband Charlie; sister Melinda Bowen McCrea and her wife Marlo; step sister Debbie Bowen; step brother Mike Bowen; first wife, Christine Zebley Price; nephews Mike, Ken, Garrett, and Grant Zebley and Charles Bowyer; and nieces Kristin Bowyer and Patricia Zebley.
