Obituary of Anita Marin Acuna

Anita Marin Acuna 7/26/1927 to 11/10/2023

              Anita passes away at the age of 96 on Friday, Nov. 10^th, 2023 in Chico, CA. She was born to Louise and Lupe Marin on July 27^th in Niles, CA. Anita was one of ten children, was raised in Niles, and lived in Fremont, CA until 1992 when she moved to Chico, CA. with her husband to be closer to family. She worked at Washington Township Hospital as a supervisor in the laundry department until she retired at the age of 62. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Q. Acuna and her son Ruben Marin Ruiz.

              Anita is survived by her son Dan Ruiz Sr. and wife Angie, four grandchildren, Melissa Saise of Chico, CA., Dan Ruiz Jr. of Oroville, CA., Timothy Ruiz and husband Stephan of Guerneville, CA., and Ruben Ruiz Jr. and wife Erin of Hayward, CA. She leaves behind five great grandchildren Tristan Beck, Taylor Nott, Marques Saise, Noah and Ethan Ruiz, and one great granddaughter, Sienna Marin Beck. Anita is also survived by two stepchildren Jesus V. Acuna and family of Phoenix, AR., and Martha Castelum and family of Mexico.

              The pall bearers for her funeral at her request will be Dan Ruiz Jr., Timothy Ruiz, Stephen Busch, Noah Ruiz, Marques Saise, and Ethan Ruiz. Services for Anita will be held at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico, CA. today, Thursday Nov. 30^th, 2023 at 4pm. Tomorrow, Friday Dec. 1^st, 2023 at 2:30pm, there will be a graveside service and burial at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
