Obituary of Beverly Pearce

Beverly Ann Pearce passed away early Sunday morning, October 13th 2013, after enjoying a peaceful night with her husband. She was born in Buffalo, NY to John and Ursula Kruczek on the last day of March in 1953. Three years later her sister Judy joined her. She put herself through nursing school with the encouragement of her father and upon graduation took a job in Chicago. She took great pride in her nursing and received her Critical Care Registered Nurse certificate as soon as it was available. It was during her time working in Chicago that she met; in her own words, 'the love of my life,' Stephen Pearce. Together they moved out to Chico, CA in 1981, where Beverly struggled at first to get used to having to drive across town to a grocery store. They had three children together, and she became the kind of mother that would teach her eldest son to dance Michael Jackson's Thriller, would drive her second son to Canada for hockey camp, and would spend nights making princess dresses for her daughter. Beverly was best known for her giving spirit and her cooking, both things she took great pride in. She volunteered in all of her children's classrooms throughout the years, teaching them how to make ants on a log or knit scarves. She loved watching her sons play sports throughout the years and always found new and creative ways of spoiling her daughter. She loved going on date nights with her husband and loved him most for his ability to make her laugh the hardest she ever had. The last piece of advice she gave her daughter was to buy the new issue of Cook's Illustrated, 'it's a really good one.' She is survived by her husband, Stephen Pearce, her children, Benjamin, Matthew, and Stephanie, her sister Judy, and her two dogs, Rhett and Mr. Darcy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Enloe Foundation Comprehensive Breast Care Program in care of Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico, Ca 95928. Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 667 E 1st Ave Chico, CA at 2.00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2013.
