Obituary of Robert Pata

Robert Pata 63, of Chico, CA passed away October 14, 2013 at his residence, Sierra Sunrise Terrace. Robert was born in Orland, CA May 15, 1950 to Theodore and Louella Pata. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Everett Henthorne, sister Phyllis Woods and sister Violet Wenner. Robert was raised at Mills Orchard and attended Hamilton Elementary and High schools. He also received an AA degree in horticulture from Butte Community College. Robert was a member of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, located in Tehama County. Robert worked various jobs throughout his life and retired from his last job at the Chico Mall Food Center. He was a proud member of the Laborers Union. Robert's interests included golfing, fishing, baseball and football. He was a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Robert was very proud of his team's accomplishments in the Wii Bowling tournaments and he was recognized for bowling a 300 perfect game. Robert is survived by his 6 brothers, Ted Pata (Cathy), Jon Pata (Bonnie), Ric Pata (Debbie), Tim Pata (Mary), Mark Pata (Tina) and Chris Pata (Jackie), and 4 sisters, Cy Scott (Ken), Ines Crosby (Jay), Leslie Lohse (Larry) and Donna Keel (Mike). Also, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A viewing is scheduled from 9:00 am to 10:45 am on the day of the service, October 21, 2013 at Brusie Funeral Home. The service will begin at 11:00 am followed by internment at Chico Cemetery. Robert was known for his friendliness and generous ways.
