Obituary of Helen Aranguren

Helen Aranguren went to be with the Lord on Oct. 24, 2013. Born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio on Sept. 24, 1921 to Matilda and Geza Godre. She lived in Detroit, Michigan where she would work as a beautician, and then later as secretary for the Henry Ford Company. After meeting the love of her life, she would help her Angelo build their first home in Southern California and then start their family. She later moved to Paradise where she would help her husband with their business and continue to be a devoted mother and wife. Helen, was an amazing cook and baker and loved to be in the kitchen. She was a self-taught musician who loved to play the organ, pumping out tunes, recalling all the dancing she had done at Hungarian picnics wearing out her shoes. Helen is survived by her beloved son, Robert Aranguren and his wife Christina; a daughter, Ilona Cronan and her husband David. She will be missed by her granddaughter Leann Glass and husband Dustin, and her great grandchildren Shayna, Alyssa, and Breanna. We will miss her humor, and how she made us laugh and her genuine concern for others with her well wishes. She was so loved by her caregivers at Monterey house in Chico. We would like to say thank you for the incredible care and love she received from everyone there. Helen will be laid to rest at Glenn Oaks Memorial in Chico, CA. A celebration of her life will be celebrated at a later date. Online condolences can be sent to www.bruisefh.com
