Obituary of Rebecca Sue Thompson

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church of Orland for Rebecca Sue Thompson. Mrs. Thompson passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008. She was 67. Born May 2, 1940 in Daughtery, Oklahoma to Marion and Eva Jenkins, she attended schools in Williams, Calif. She married Donald Thompson August 20, 1957 in Reno, Nevada. Sue was a homemaker all of her adult life. Sue loved to sew and make clothing for her grandchildren. She also liked crafts, and camping and fishing. She is survived by her husband Don of 50 years; three daughters, Dawn Rush of Orland, Carmen Besser of Chico, and Stacey Tabler also of Chico; grandchildren, Heather, Christopher, Kelly, Renelle, Shane, Cody, and Cassie, and three great-grandchildren, Rayanne, Jarod, Palin; and a sister, Goldie Cowling of Orland. Sue was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Jenkins in January. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brusie Funeral Home.
