Sue was born in Washington D.C. on Dec. 1, 1947 to Edith and Gilbert Poe and passed away peacefully at her home in Chico on Oct. 29, 2008 of Cancer. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother, Michael. Sue is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Rasser (Tony) and Janet Jasura, and by her beloved son, Steven Jesse Tunison (Adam) and daughter, Steffany Audelo (Ruben); six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. As a daughter of a military family, Sue lived and traveled throughout the United States and Europe and settled in Chico in 1963. After graduating Chico High in 1965, she went on to be a talented musician and accomplished artist of many facets. Beloved friend of so many, she treated her friends as family, and her family as friends and loved us all unconditionally, especially the companionship of her animals, most recently her pit bull, Mr. Cooper. With her beautiful smile, outrageous sense of humor and her generous heart, Sue loved the gift of giving, remembering us all on every special occassion. In her passing, Sue leaves us with a sense of wisdom, compassion, and a memory that can never be forgotten. Sue we love you. A Commemoration and Celebration of her life will be held on November 17, 2008, Commemoration from 4 to 5 p.m. and Celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave. Everyone who knew Sue is welcome to attend. Any musicians who would like to jam are encouraged to come and play. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided but please feel free to bring your favorite potluck dish. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Enloe Hospice, whom we are very grateful for helping us take such wonderful care of Sue.
