Obituary of John Miller

J.F. "Jeff" Miller passed away on November 4, 2008. He was born Jan. 28, 1914 in Littleton, Colorado. Jeff fell in love with flying while in high school prior to WWII. He worked for Ryan Aviation in San Diego where he received his pilot's license and later became a flight instructor. His career of flying spanned over sixty years, both in civilian life and during his years in the U.S.A.F. from which he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. In civilian life he spent many years working in the steel-building industry. Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wanda along with a brother, William Miller of Madison, Wis.; sister, Helen Celli of San Francisco, CA; six children, Michael of Yerington NV, Robert of Gridley CA, Barbara Miller of Seattle WA, Amonda Jones of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Mary Glenda of Sacramento CA and Linda Willis of Coos Bay, OR along with 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Divine Savior Church on East Lassen Ave., Chico CA at 9:00 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2008.
