Obituary of Nancy Roberts

Surrounded by her family, Nancy Ann Roberts died November 14, 2008 at Enloe Hospital after a very short battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 1, 1940 in Washington D.C. to Myrtle and Charles Garrison. Nancy married at a young age to Wayne A. Roberts and became a devoted wife and mother to her four children. Those early family years were filled with many remodeling projects, sewing and school projects, many family gatherings and fruit and vegetable canning. Nancys later interests included needlepoint, quilting and quilt shows, reading, antique collecting, genealogy and her grandchildren. She was a member of several quilt guilds and the Chico Grandmothers Club. Her parents, former husband and nephew predeceased Nancy. Survivors include her brothers, Charles and Lewis Garrison and their families, her children Blaine and his wife Edith, Karin Linforth and her husband Drake, son Glenn, and Amy Lowden and her husband Brian. She also will be very missed by her beloved 8 grandchildren. She will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, December 6, 2008 at First Christian Church, 295 East Washington Ave. in Chico. Please contact Amy Lowden or Blaine Roberts for further details.
