Obituary of Mary Johnson

Mary "Kay" Johnson entered into Eternal Heaven on April 6th 2008 Kay was born in Arlington NE, on October 23, 1939. She was married to James Johnson on November 28, 1959 in Chico CA. She was a devoted wife of 48 years and loving mother. She is survived by her husband James Johnson of Chico and son Jeffrey, his wife Deanne, with two Granddaughters Cortney and Chelsea of Red Bluff, as well as her Daughter Marla Barker and three Grandson's Michael, Justin and Tyler, also of Chico . Kay was a active member of the Grace Brethren Church for many years, and enjoyed her weekly Bible Study group. She loved music, singing in the Choir, and spending time with her family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports and participating in school plays and choir. She will also be survived by her brother Allen Sorenson of Arlington, NE. three sisters Lila Bartlett of Fremont NE., Alice Hayes of Topeka, KS. and Phyllis Brunmeier of Omaha, NE. She is preceded in death by her son Stacey Lynn Johnson, four brothers and one sister. Mary Kay Johnson was a kind and loving person to everyone that knew her, and will be dearly missed by all. Services will be held at Grace Brethren Church, 355 Panama Avenue, Chico, CA at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008.
