Obituary of Helen Reid

Helen E. Reid passed away Monday, April 7, 2008 in Paradise. She was born Jan. 30, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA to Harry and Marie Reid. Helen had a long career in nursing in Southern and Central California. She retired to Paradise in 1994 where she kept busy doing volunteer work as an Ombudsman, Senior Companion Foster Grandparent and many other programs with Passages Adult Resource Center in Chico. She enjoyed playing mah jongg and cribbage, belonged to the Red Hat Society and generally just enjoyed helping people. She is survived by her brother, Fred of Bakersfield, CA and Melvin of Sacramento, CA, numerous nieces, nephews (and their spouses) and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paradise Evangical Free Church, 5095 Pentz Rd., Paradise, CA Donations can be made to a charity of your coice in Helen's name.
