Obituary of Michael Tobin

Michael was born in Mt. Shasta, California. His parents are Ron and Cheryl Tobin. He attended Chico High school and graduated in 2003. He was attending the Butte College Welding Certification Program. His accomplishments include: wrestling at Chico High School and was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps. He was awarded the Combat Veteran's Award and participated in "Operation Iraqi Freedom". Michael had a passion for welding, he enjoyed flying remote control helicopters with his Dad, climbing Mt. Shasta with his Mom, and enjoyed special times with his brother Brian, skydiving and road trips with his best friends, Brian and Brent. Michael always had a passion and zest for life like no other! He exhibited great compassion for those in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Michael brought great joy to those around him with his exuberant sense of humor. He always found the positive in the worst of situations. Michael will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him. "We hold our children's hands but for awhile, but we hold their hearts for a lifetime". Michael, My Sweets, we love you and will miss you until we meet again in Heaven. Michael was cremated and will be returning home on his last flight with Mom and Dad. Services are planned for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the 7th Day Adventist Church, 1877 Hooker Oak Ave., Chico, California. He is survived by his parents: Ron and Cheryl Tobin of Spokane Valley, Washington; brother Brian Tobin of Chico, California.
