Obituary of David Walker

David Ralph Walker was born April 20, 1939 in Leadville, Colorado to Woodville J. and Belle T. Walker. David passed away on March 17, 2009 and joined his beloved wife Kathryn. David was the oldest of four brothers. David graduated high school in Utah in 1957, attended Butte College, and earned a A.S. degree. He attended Chico State University and studied electrical engineering. He served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked in Redding, where he met his wife Kathryn. In 1987 he purchased George's Generator Shop and ran a successful operation until he retired in 2002. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, it was his greatest joy. David will be missed dearly by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn of 40 years; parents, Woodville J. and Belle T. Walker; in-laws, James and Rose Sacco; and brother, Thomas. He is survived by his son, Frank "Jodi" Walker; grandchildren, Lindsay and Ryan; brother, Marcus "Mary Helen", brother John "Shirley", and brother-in-law, Frank "Laura" Sacco; numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 12 Noon in the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home.
