Obituary of Jack Michael Madden

Mike Madden was born October 13, 1948 in Sacramento to Jack and Doris Madden. He died of heart failure in Carmel, Saturday, July 5, 2008 after celebrating his 25th anniversary with his beloved wife Mary on the 2nd. He attended school in Redding and Chico. Michael served as a corpsman in the CCU at Travis AFB. He worked as an LVN at Community Hospital, owned and operated a computer business, and served as the OES Officer. He was currently a solar and wind energy consultant for Evergreen Development and Power Shacks. Mike and Mary loved their home in Forest Ranch enjoying the serenity and beauty of nature. Michael had a variety of interests and wealth of knowledge which he enjoyed sharing. As members of Forest Ranch Comm. Assn., both he and Mary served as presidents, as well as serving on the Vol. Fire Dept. together. Survivors include daughters, Mariah Ruddy (James), and Natalie. He was thrilled to become a grandfather of Olivia Sinclair Ruddy in 2003, and again this June when Jameson Michael Ruddy was born. He is also survived by his brother, Scott, (Monica); nephews, Tyler and Jordan and nieces, Shelly Keyes, Summer Sutherland, and Amy Madden; sister-in-law, Mechelle Madden and dear friend, Judy Hart. Michael was a man of his word. He will be remembered for his dedication and unique sense of humor. He was preceded in death by first wife, Rena; mother, Doris; father, Jack and brother, Jeff. A memorial service will be held at California Park Pavilion, Friday, July 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.. Hawaiian shirts and Birkenstocks are optional. Contributions may be made to the FR Vol. Fire Dept. or the FR Community Assn.
