Obituary of Timothy Phillipe

Timothy Phillipe was born on November 4, 1926 in Hawkinsville, CA and passed away on April 19, 2009, at the age of 82, in Chico, CA, under the care of Enloe Hospice and the caring staff at Prestige Assisted Living. Tim was born to Arthur and Genevieve (Leal) Phillipe and was raised in Hawkinsville and Yreka with his two brothers, Pat and Cecil. Tim attended schools in Yreka and served in the Navy during World War II. On June 28, 1953, he married his wife, Merle. Tim was retired from the Siskiyou County Assessors Office. He was very active in various organizations in Yreka over the years, particularly the American Legion Drum & Bugle Corp. In August, 2000, Tim and Merle moved to Chico to be closer to their daughter and her family. Tim is survived by his wife, Merle; daughter, Lisa; son-in-law, Tim; granddaughter, Kelsey; great-grandson, Ray; nieces, nephews and cousins and many life long friends from Yreka and new friends in Chico. He is also survived by his faithful dog, Lacey. No services will be held. Donations to Enloe Hospice or Enloe Century Project, in care of the Enloe Foundation, 249 W. 6th Ave, Chico, CA 95926 or to a favorite charity in memory of Tim would be appreciated.
