Obituary of Georgia de la Torre

Georgia de la Torre, 87 of Chico , passed away May 16, 2009 surrounded by family members. Georgia was born in Antlers, Oklahoma March 29, 1922 to John and Lula McEwen. After some college, she went on to become an account clerk working many years for the Alameda Water District. As a member of the Thousand Trails Motor home Association, Georgia enjoyed camping and traveling but most of all she loved entertaining her family and friends. Georgia was preceded in death by her first husband Harvey Willmon, second husband Elmer de la Torre and a grandson Gary Pippin. She is survived by her daughter Norma Arnold (Ted) of Elk Creek CA , son Ben de la Torre ( Georgina ) of Union City , grandchildren Sharron, Tony, Randel, Shelly and Jennifer along with 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Services for Georgia will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2009 , at 3:30 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home, followed by a viewing on Wednesday May 19,2009 at Holy Angels Mortuary on 1051 Harder Rd. Hayward, Ca. from 9a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service Wednesday May 20, 2009 , at 12 Noon a.m. at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 1051 Harder Rd. Hayward CA
