Obituary of Michelle Johnson

Michelle Audrey Johnson, 26, of Seattle, WA passed away on June 26, 2009, of an aortic aneurysm. She was born on December 6, 1982 in Everett WA to Loren Horn and Eileen Rutledge. Since the age of 4 she was raised by her father, Mark Henderson. Michelle enjoyed singing, dancing, traveling, and writing. She played soccer, softball, and the piano. She enjoyed gardening, snowboarding, and laughing with family and friends. Michelle graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors degree, and she went on to be the project lead at the Dynamic Language Center. She was also a member of the World Wildlife Foundation. She loved animals and was very environmentally conscious. She is survived by her husband, Rye Johnson of Seattle WA; and parents, Mark Henderson and Eileen Rutledge; along with sister, Emily Gorder of Chico, CA; and brothers, Brian Horn of Hamilton City, CA., Phil Horn of Chico, CA.; as well as her great-grandmother; grandparents; brother and sister-in-laws; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Loren Horn. A viewing will be held at Brusie Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009 and services will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Bidwell Presbyterian Church.
