Obituary of Lewis Kendall

Lewis ended his 74 year journey on July 27, 2009 in Chico, CA. He was born on September 7, 1934 in Albany, Oregon. He moved to Paso Robles, CA around age 10, where he graduated from Paso Robles High. Lewis was married to his first wife, Dorciene Barton of Grants Pass, Oregon for 18 years. Then he began his 23 year career with CA State Parks, working 6 years at Hearst Castle and 17 years at Lake Oroville. He moved to Chico in 1979. Lewis was a truly happy and kind man who enjoyed doing things for others. He loved bass fishing and being out in his boat. While relaxing, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Shirley Kendall, his brother, John Kendall of Paso Robles; four children, Lynette Pacot of Paso Robles, Glenn Kendall of Morro Bay, Debra Stonebreaker of Vallejo, and Rebecca Hubbell of Chico. He had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The life of Lewis will be celebrated with a potluck by the lake on August 23, 2009 at 4 p.m., at the Forebay in Oroville, CA.
