Obituary of Richard Schrenk

Richard Schrenk passed away August 4, 2009, peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family at the age of 63, from a long battle with cancer. Rick was born on April 16, 1946 in Burley, Idaho to Elmer and Melva Schrenk. He attended Minnacle High School in Rupert ID. Rick joined the Army in 1963 became a Drill Sergeant and war veteran of the Vietnam War, was highly decorated and honorably discharged in November 1970. He graduated from Yuba College with an A.S.degree and certification as an LVN/LPN in 1975. Rick spent 34 years in nursing at various hospitals while specializing in cardiac treatment. His last 17 years was with Enloe Medical Center. He was a member of the NRA. Rick enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all the love of his family. Rick is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy; and a son, Allen Schrenk. He is survived by two sons, Don Schwab of WA and John Jenson of Chico; three daughters, Beckie Schrenk of Chico, Vicki Wicker and Tonia Armstrong, both of Idaho along with 17 grandchildren. Burial will be at Declo Cemetery, Declo ID.
