Obituary of Michael Bohlander

Michael Bohlander A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Michael Jonathan Bohlander, 49 of Berry Creek, on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church in Chico. Burial will follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his home. Michael was born June 18, 1960 to Jerry and Karen Bohlander in Chico. He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School and CSU Chico with a degree in Civil Engineering. Michael worked for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District as a Civil Engineer and did design work. After moving back to Chico he worked as the Director of Public Works in Live Oak and most recently at the California Dept. of Water Resources. Michael was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Karen Bohlander of Chico; two sisters, Lisa (Jim) Bourey of Sunnyvale and Patricia (Kevin) Etchison of Paradise; two brothers, Mark (Kathy) Bohlander of Chico and Matthew (Shyrl) Bohlander of Vallejo; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
