Obituary of Kathlene Lozano

Kathleen Margaret Lozano was born in Washington state on January 1, 1943. She was a descendant of the Moaks, a local pioneer family that settled in California in 1850. She started school in Concow, then attended schools in Paradise, Greenville and graduated from Oroville High School in 1960. She went on to graduate from Chico State. Kathleen retired from the City of Chico. She loved nature, the mountains, the woods and the trees in her yard. Her favorite flowers were roses. In the spring her backyard was beautiful. After her retirement she raised Schnauzer puppies and never failed to take delight in the antics of her pups, spending many hours playing with them. She is survived by her children; Rafe and Rachael and her grandchildren; Rebeka, Renee Alyssa, Riley and Anderson. She is also survived by her brother Jim Moak of Corning and sister Linda King of Texas. Kathleen had grown into a very wise and loving woman and her counsel will be sorely missed by her family. We love you Mom, Grandmom, Auntie and Sissy. Kathleen passed away on September 15, 2010 at her home. A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 starting at 11:00 a.m. at her home 2019 Fogg Ave, Oroville.
