Obituary of Shirley Kodad

SHIRLEY JEAN KODAD (LEVINSON) March 2, 1954 Shirley's last sunrise was December 2, 2010, at the age of 56. She was born in Oakland, CA to Harry and Frida Levinson, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Gregory and Clifford Kodad, and by her grandson, Lucas. Shirley is also survived by her sister, Kathryn Green; brother, Robert Levinson, wife Pressila, and nephews, Eric, wife Issa, and Issac Levinson. Shirley received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Chico State University in 1976, and soon after, married Steven Kodad. She was a wonderful and loving mother to her two cherished sons. Shirley enjoyed working as a printer for LifeTouch Photo for 15 years. She was part of the Chico community for over 31 years. Shirley was a bright sun in this world, with a love for the arts. She was active locally in drama and theatre. She volunteered at the Butte Humane Society and Enloe Hospital, doing what came naturally with a giving heart. Shirley loved children, and they in turn will greatly miss her. Memorial services are planned for Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at the Evangelical Free Church, 1193 Filbert Avenue, Chico, with reception to follow at another location. Shirley's cremations will be scattered off the Pacific Coast, so you need only look west to remember her glow. Donations may be made to Butte Humane Society or any charity of your choice in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
