Obituary of Carrisa Cox

Carrisa Eileen Cox was born on August 3, 1985, in Santa Maria, CA, and unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2010, in Chico, CA. She asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior when she was five years old and has walked with Him her whole life. Carrisa was in the Class of 2003 at Paradise High. She worked at Tri Counties Bank for the past five years and was previously involved with Young Life and an active member of Ridge Presbyterian Church. Carrisa loved her daughter Norah, and being with family and friends, coordinating parties, weddings, and dinners, mission trips to Mexico, cake decorating, crafts, Christian music, and John Mayer concerts. She will be remembered for her infectious joy, laughter, determination, hospitality, and compassion for hurting people. Carrisa is survived by her daughter, Norah; Norah's father, Trevor Hartt; mother and step-father, Laurie and Ed Walsh; sisters, Candice, Jenni Goodlin (husband Brett), Danae (friend Nick Monroe); brother, Jordan and stepbrother, Brian; grandmother, Ruth Cox, Larry and Phoebe Hartt , and niece, Maya. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, her many friends, church family, and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Cox, and brother, Darren Cox. A viewing will be held at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico, on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. The memorial service will be on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Presbyterian Church (in the Seventh Day Adventist Church), 5720 Academy Dr., Paradise.
