Obituary of Majorie Mace

Marjorie Jane Mace born to Alva and Ida Freeman 10/10/20 in Oshkosh WI, the youngest of 3 siblings. Married to Merklee K. Mace 12/27/45 in Anaheim CA. Passed peacefully 11/9/11 in at home in Highland UT at the age of 91. Marjorie's life is a wonderful example of service and giving to family, community, and church. In the span of her life, she belonged to both Pilots and Lionesses service organizations in Chico, CA and served as President of both. She ran a family business (Mace TV) in Chico with her husband Merk for over 30 years. She was a member of the LDS Church, held multiple callings with her favorite being a leader for the Cub Scouts. She loved to be outdoors, read, knit, crochet, playing games and was extremely generous with her talents and time; making and giving away cherished keepsakes to both family and friends. She is survived by her 3 sons, Matthew A. and wife JoAnn Mace, John G. Mace, and Thomas S. Mace, grandchildren Jessica VanDenBerghe, husband Derek and great-grandson Jensen, Daniel Mace, Charlie Mace, Angela Mace, as well as Scott Burton and Leslie Coons from JoAnn's side of the family. Services were held at the LDS Canyon View Chapel in Highland, UT at 10 am Sat. Nov. 12th. Final interment will be Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 2:00 PM at the Glen Oaks Memorial Park in the Vetrans section. The public is welcome to attend.
