Obituary of Thomas Ike

Loving father, husband, and son, Thomas Eugene Ike, 57, of Chico, CA, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and daughters, Stevie Leigh and Jordan Rae; his parents, Melvin and Carol Ike. Tom found not only a wonderful parent, but also a Best Friend in his Dad. Tom was born on Sept. 23, 1954 at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA. Tom was raised in Chico, CA and attended Jay Patridge Elementary, Bidwell Jr. High School and graduated from Chico High School in 1973. Tom received his degree in Welding at Butte College. He traveled throughout the United States working as an Independent Welding Contractor. He retired and enjoyed living in Orland, CA, where he raised cattle and horses. Throughout Tom's life he enjoyed Roping and gathering with friends and family. Tom attended Victory in Christ Church in Orland, CA. Services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Tom's Life at the Elk's Lodge. The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness and prayers.
