Obituary of Katherine Horn

Katherine Horn passed away March 30, 2012, at the age of 88. She was born July 23, 1923 in Oakhurst, CA to G. Russell and Katherine DePuy. Kathie married Earl Preston Horn on May 3, 1943 and they enjoyed many years of worldwide sightseeing, sports car rallies, camping, fishing, and family. She loved gardening, animals, shopping and travel. Kathie attended Chico State and worked 22 years as a travel agent. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Karen DeLong and her family; sisters-in-law, Mable DePuy and Elsie DePuy, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her last few months were spent loving her new grandchildren, Arden and Joseph. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brusie Funeral Home. Psalm 31:24 Be strong, all who wait with hope for the Lord, and let your heart be courageous.
