Obituary of Irmgard Overton

Funeral services for Irmgard H. Overton, 84 of Chico, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Brusie Funeral Home. She passed away on April 2, 2012 in Willows, CA. Irmgard was born on June 24, 1927 in Berlin, Germany to Karl Stark and Hegwig Rothenburg. She received her High School diploma when she came to the U.S. Irmgard worked at a Radio Station in Berlin in the 40's, and later worked as admissions clerk at Chico Community Hospital for 23 years. She traveled to many areas in the middle east with her beloved husband and many trips back to Germany. Irmgard loved to bake and cook for her family and reading. She was the first employee of the year at Chico Community Hospital. She is survived by her sons, David Overton of Chico, CA, Donald Overton of Spanish Springs, NV; daughter, Debbie Brown of Chico, CA; granddaughters, Alisa Overton of Chico, CA and Angela Overton of Oroville, CA; great-grandchildren, James, Jetta, and Hope Overton of Chico, CA. A Viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Brusie Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions can be made in her memory to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
