Obituary of Dolly Ramey

Dolly Arletha Ramey passed away peacefully on June 7, 2012, at the age of 87, with her daughter by her side. She was born in Oklahoma to James and Bessie Ann Evans on Dec. 29, 1924. She attended school there, later moving to Marysville, CA, where she met Franklin Ramey. They were married in June of 1942. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and playing cards. She worked on the election board and for a time held the polling place in her home. Dolly is survived by her sons, Jim Ramey (wife, Judy), Arthur Ramey (wife, Carol), Billie Ramey (wife, Kathy); and daughter, Judy Murphy (husband, Eugene deceased). She leaves 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Judy.
