Obituary of Loren Edsall

Loren William Edsall passed away at his home on August 17, 2012. He was born in Chico, CA, on April 1, 1929, to Frieda and Floyd Edsall. He attended schools in Chico and Davis, CA. In 1963, he married Peggy A. Dutra. They lived briefly in Westwood, CA, before returning to Chico to raise their children. Loren had his own trucking business, serving California, Nevada, and Oregon. After retiring, he lived for a while in Florida, returning to Chico to spend his final years close to his family. Loren was preceded in death by a sister, Lois. He is survived by a son, Travis Edsall; a daughter, Lori Edsall; 3 grandchildren: Amanda, Billy, and Cassie; 1 great-grandson, Zayd; 2 brothers, Robert Edsall and Michael Harris; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; and Dolly and her adoring family who called him "Pops." A Memorial Service will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Park Chico on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 10a.m. A Reception will follow in the main lobby of 1200 Park Ave. where Loren spent his final years. In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions be made in memory of Loren to The Ronald McDonald House in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
