Obituary of Fredrick Waybright

FREDRICK B. WAYBRIGHT 1936 - 2013 Fredrick B. Waybright Sr. was born on July 22, 1936 in Nampa, Idaho to Ione and Fred Waybright. In his early years, he could be often found on the construction site watching and learning the traits that went along with his dad's excavating business. His mother was a stenographer. As a child, he moved several times to follow his father's work. He graduated from El Cerrito High in 1956. Fred served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959. While serving in Germany, he met the love of his life, Patricia Joan Ritter. They married September 27, 1959 and had only one son named Fredrick Waybright Jr. He retired from IBM after 31 years of service. Fred had many hobbies throughout his lifetime, which included motorcycle riding with his son, snowmobiling, building and restoring old trucks and cars, hunting, fishing, cribbage, cooking, reading, riding bicycle and golf. He was a member of the Chico Elks Lodge #423, Eagle Lake Association, and Lake Almanor West Golf Club. He loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. His wife preceded him in 2010. He leaves behind a son, Fredrick Waybright Jr. (Christine); grandchildren, John, Alex, and Ryan Waybright. A Celebration of Life for Fredrick Sr. and Patricia Waybright will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chico Elks Lodge #423 located at 1705 Manzanita Ave. in Chico. Arrangements are under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home.
