Margaret "Maggie" Taylor A funeral service for Margaret Taylor. 90 of Chico will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31,2013 at Brusie Funeral Home. Maggie passed away on January 24,2013 at Roseleaf Senior Care on Chico. She was born on December 29,1922 in Oroville, Ca. to William and Nettie Tyler. Maggie was married to Hugh Taylor for 50 years. He preceded her in death .Maggie worked for the Payroll Dept. at Chico State .She was past President of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Gem and Mineral Society, the lady Elks luncheon Group, Red Hat Ladies Society and the Sheriff's S.T.A.R.S. program. Rock Hound, RV travels. Was the recipient of "The Maggie Award" from Chico State. Best apple pie maker. Was on a Bowling league. Always a friend with a smile. She is survived by a daughter Janice{Larry}Gilmer of Chico and son Kenneth {Judy} Taylor of Lakehead. Grandchildren Steve Gilmer, Debora Gilmer, Cindy Taylor, Chris Taylor ,Cary Gellner. Great Grandchildren Bradley Gilmer,Jesse Burchardt, Candice Gellner, Melinda Taylor and Sarah Taylor. Great Great Grandaughter Lexi Adkins. Maggie was #5 of 21 children in her family. Charitable donations can be made in her memory to the American cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home .
