Obituary of John Conger

JOHN KELSEY CONGER John was born in June of 1936 in Castle Rock, Washington. He passed away on February 20, 2013, in Chico, California, where he lived for over 50 years. After serving in the U.S. Army, John settled in Chico in 1958 and began his long career in farming. John enjoyed watching NASCAR auto racing on television, working in his vegetable garden and going camping in his travel trailer. Survivors include his wife, Sue, his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Mike McCarthy, three grandchildren, Jeremy McCarthy, Chris McCarthy and Kelsey McCarthy, one sister, Betty Robinson, and his beloved dog, Daisy Mae. His son, Jim, predeceased him in 1981. A family memorial for John will be held at a later date.
