Obituary of Howard Zaugg

Howard Zaugg, 91, of Paradise, died of natural causes on February 26th. He passed away peacefully. He was born on Sept 10, 1921 in Union, OR. He married Betty Jean Robison Oct 17, 1945. Howard served in the US Army Air Corp and is a decorated World War II Veteran. He served in the Civil Air Patrol and obtained the rank of Captain. He was a painter by trade. He was employed at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo as the "Plant Operations Supervisor". He served the community many years by being involved in the "Lions Club". He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After retirement, he and Betty moved to Magalia, where they built their dream home. Howard is the youngest of eleven children. His Mom & Dad, Ami Louis and Lydia Chadwick Zaugg, lived in Utah where he grew up. He and his wife Betty had 3 sons; Dennis, Jeffrey, and Curtis. He was preceded in death by wife Betty and son Dennis. He is survived by sons Jeffrey and Curtis, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be March 2nd at 8 am, located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1275 Bille Road, Paradise, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations gladly accepted at Hospice of Paradise.
