Obituary of Alpha Gould

ALPHA MAE GOULD A Service will be held Friday August 30, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1450 E. Lassen Avenue in Chico for Alpha Mae Gould. Mrs Gould passed away Sunday August 25th, she was 78. Alpha was born July 14, 1935 here in Chico to John and Omega Huebert. She graduated from Hamilton Union High School in 1953 and earned her RN from Highland School of Nursing in 1956. Most of her career was spent at Enloe Hospital working in the nursery, she especially enjoyed working in Neonatal intensive care unit. Alpha was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and spent countless hours giving compassionate service to others. Alpha loved to read! She was always reading something. She also had a great love for the ocean particulary Fort Bragg, California. Her greatest love was taking care of babies, whether as a nurse, or her own grandchildren, she had a special talent for their care. Alpha is survived by her husband of 56 years Wilburn J. Gould of Chico, brother Charles Huebert of Henderson, Nevada, daughters Deana Walker of Payson, Utah, Helen Hurd of West Jordan, Utah, and a son Joseph Gould of Yuba City. A visitation will take place from 10 until 11 A.M. before the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
