Obituary of Ada Anne Doolittle

ADA ANNE DOOLITTLE A funeral service for Ada Anne Doolittle will be held Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at 11 a.m., at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chico. Ada passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007.She was 89. Born June 3, 1918 in Moorecroft, Wyoming to John and Hazel Birkett, she attended grade and high school in Winter, Wisconsin. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute in December 1940. She served as a missionary in Kentucky for about 2 years. She married John Hall Doolittle August 23, 1944. Her husband was a Baptist Minister and she served in many ministries over the years as the pastors wife. She also served in her community in many facets. Ada is survived by three daughters and one son, Lois Osborne of Kenya, Africa, Grace Evertson, Esther Doolittle both of Chico, and David Doolittle of Butte Valley. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Karlson and Florence Helfer both of Illinois; and a brother, Robert Birkett of Wisconsin. Ada was preceded in death by her husband, John and a son James Doolittle. A graveside service will follow in Willows Cemetery around 1:30 p.m. Bidwell Chapel in Chico is in charge of all final arrangements.
