Obituary of Warren Henry Porter

Warren Henry Porter WARREN HENRY PORTER Warren Henry Porter, Electronic Technician. Born November 11, 1916 in San Francisco, CA to Virgil and Frances Porter. He is survived by son, David Porter who lives with his family in Plymouth, Minnesota, and two daughters, Eileen Halpin of Chico, CA and Carol of Fremont, CA and three grandchildren. Warren served in the 40th Signal Corps overseas in the Pacific Area from 1941 until 1945. He went to High School in Concord, CA, and Trade School in Oakland, CA and was sent to Ft. Monmonth N.J. He retired in 1982, and moved to Magalia, CA after living in Walnut Creek, CA since 1945. He was an Electronic shop owner, a member of the V.F.W. Post 2039, belonged to the CA Historical Radio Society, and a member of the Paradise Stamp Club, and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Bidwell Chapel in Chico, CA, 341 West 3rd Street. Burial will follow in Lafayette, CA.
